Vakıf Katılım Account Opening Procedures From PTT Offices

Only retail customers can open accounts. Commercial, legal and foreign national customers must be directed to Vakıf Katılım’s branches or alternative digital channels for the opening of accounts.

PTT Officer will confirm whether your address information is up-to-date or not. Since the bank card will be sent to the address registered in the system, account cannot be opened if your address information is not up-to-date. In such case, you will be directed to the nearest Vakıf Katılım Branch by the PTT Officer.

If the person who wants to open an account is under the age 18, the account must be associated with the parent/guardian account. If the parent/guardian does not have a Vakıf Katılım account, an account must be opened for the parent/guardian first. Then, an account can be opened for person under the age 18.

Different types of ID cards such as driving license, passport, marriage certificate etc. cannot be used for the opening of accounts.

Your account will be opened automatically from our Bakanlıklar-VGM branch.

Our Vakıf Katılım Customer Contact Centre will ask you whether you wish to change the branch while making a welcome call; if you wish to change the branch, you can forward your request. Based on your request, the branch transfer process will be carried out as soon as possible.

After becoming our customer, your account will be opened as blocked due to missing documents. After the account is opened, you can deposit money into your account. Accordingly, you can deposit cash to your account, make EFT / Transfer / FAST to Vakıf Katılım account; you can view your account through our digital channels. However, until the relevant documents are delivered to Vakıf Katılım, you cannot make cash withdrawals from the account or transactions such as EFT / Transfer / FAST from the account. After the relevant documents are received by Vakıf Katılım, the blocking on your account is removed and you can perform all banking transactions.

The documents that you have signed at the PTT Offices are sent by the PTT Officer to Vakıf Katılım’s Bakanlıklar-VGM branch by Express Mail Service. These documents are checked after being delivered to the relevant branch.

• If there is no missing document, the blocking on your account is removed. Then you can perform cash withdrawal, money transfer and all other banking transactions as well as cash deposit transactions.
• In case of missing documents, you will be notified via SMS. Accordingly, you need to go to the nearest PTT branch, the missing documents will be determined by PTT personnel from the "Missing Document Inquiry" screen and completed by you, and the relevant missing documents are sent to Vakıf Katılım’s Bakanlıklar-VGM branch quickly by Express Mail Service. Following the completion of the missing documents, the blocking on your account is removed. Then you can perform cash withdrawal, money transfer and all other banking transactions as well as cash deposit transactions.
