Vakıf Katılım launched a dedicated open-air photography exhibition to highlight Bursa’s cultural heritage as part of the celebrations organized by the Bursa Governorship to mark the 700th anniversary of the city’s conquest.
Vakıf Katılım inaugurated a Bursa Waqf Artifacts photography exhibition on April 4 at Bursa Tophane Square as part of the celebrations by the Bursa Governorship for the 700th anniversary of the city's conquest.
The exhibition included 276 select photographs from the Vakıf Katılım's Bursa Waqf Artifacts Inventory. Presented alongside their historical background, the photographs will be on display throughout the year at Orhangazi Square, Cumhuriyet Street, Çarşıbaşı Square, Emir Sultan Square, and UNESCO Square.
Vakıf Katılım CEO Mehmet Ali Akben commented on the photography exhibition: “Bursa is unique in its rich history and particular architecture of the Early Ottoman Period, bridging the past and present. This exhibition reveals a selection of photographs from our Bursa Waqf Artifacts Inventory, and contribute to the preservation of the city’s cultural heritage for future generations. We at Vakıf Katılım will continue to draw inspiration from our roots to protect our social values and implement historic projects. I'd like to take this opportunity to once again celebrate the 700th anniversary of Bursa’s conquest and extend my sincere thanks to Bursa Governor Erol Ayyıldız, as well as to the Bursa Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism and all employees of the governorship for their contributions to this valuable exhibition.”
