Öztürk ORAN

Öztürk Oran was born in Kars in 1956. He graduated from the Department of Turkish (Turkish Language and Literature) at the Erzurum Kazım Karabekir Educational Institute. He also completed the Budgeting and Standard Costs specialization program in the Banking and Commercial Law Research Institute at the Accounting Institute of the Business Administration Faculty at İstanbul University.

In 1974, he began working as a clerk at Türkiye Vakıflar Bank T.A.O. In the meantime, he completed his education in Foreign Trade, English language, Accounting and Banking Management at the Training Center of the Banks Association of Turkey over a period of 3 years and obtained a diploma with excellent degree.

He has worked at almost every level of the banking from the position of clerk to a member of the board of directors throughout his 28-year career, including 12 years at Türkiye Vakıflar Bank T.A.O. and 16 years at the Faisal Finans Katılım Bankası.

Since 2003, he has continued his business life as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of pharmaceutical companies of which he is a partner.

Mr. Oran also served as the Chairman of İstanbul Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of İstanbul Ticaret University, Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.

He currently serves as the Member of the Board of Directors of Union of Pharmaceutical Industry Employers of Turkey and Member of the Board of Directors of KAİ Foundation.

Having been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vakıf Katılım Bankası AŞ in June 2015, Mr. Oran has been serving as a member of the Board of Directors since June 7, 2024.

He has a good command of English.
