Member of the Board
Member of the Board Mustafa Erdoğmuş was born in Giresun, Şebinkarahisar in 1954. After having graduated from İstanbul Imam-Hatip High School in 1976, he enrolled in İstanbul Economic and Commercial Sciences Academy and graduated from the Department of Business Administration of Faculty of Commercial Sciences. He started to work as a clerk at İstanbul Branch of Türkiye Vakıflar Bankası in 1977. He performed his military service in Cizre as third-lieutenant and guardhouse commander between 1983-1984 and then returned to VakıfBank again.
In March 1985, he left from Türkiye Vakıflar Bankası upon the commencement of interest-free banking operations in Turkey and joined Faisal Finans Kurumu A.Ş and took part in the establishment of the institution. He served as Chief, Sub-manager, Assistant Manager and Manager of the Fund and Banking Services Department and as the Manager of Eminönü Branch. He attended various seminars and courses about interest-free banking. In 1995, he joined İhlas Finance, which was another interest-free institution. He also took part in the establishment of this institution and worked as the manager of the Central and Cağaloğlu Branches. When the BRSA cancelled the license of İhlas Finans in 2001, he left the institution and continued his career in private sector.
He held the positions as Manager, Finance Manager, Financial Advisor and General Coordinator in private sector companies.
He was elected as the Member of the Board of Vakıf Katılım at the Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting of Vakıf Katılım Bankası A.Ş on 16 October 2015. He is also the Chairman of the Audit Committee and the Member of Credit Committee of Vakıf Katılım.
He is married with three children.
