Mehmet Fatih YORULMAZ

Mr. Yorulmaz received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Middle East Technical University in 2001 within 3.5 years with a GPA of 3,83 and ranking of 3rd.

Having completed his master’s degree with high distinction at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2002, Mr. Yorulmaz contributed to the engineering designs of several high-rise structures in Atlanta, USA. In 2005 he transitioned to Jeddah, KSA to join Islamic Development Bank where he led projects in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Sudan as a Portfolio Manager and FDI underwriter.

Mehmet Fatih Yorulmaz furthered his education with an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2009, specializing in finance and graduating with high distinction (top 5%) as a Baker Scholar.

Subsequently, he gained experience at the Boston Consulting Group’s Boston and Istanbul offices, providing management consulting services to renowned firms in finance and energy sectors. Starting from 2011, he served as CEO Advisor at Turk Telekom and Senior Director of Marketing, Corporate Sales & Business Development at TTNET, the biggest telecom company in Turkey.

He then assumed the role of Principal at ICD, Islamic Development Bank’s private sector arm, where he was overseeing credit allocation to Turkey & CIS countries. In 2016, as Country Manager, Mr. Yorulmaz established the Turkish office of Compare Europe Group, a multinational fintech start-up which was partially funded by Goldman Sachs.

Mehmet Fatih Yorulmaz, who has been in the senior management of Albaraka Türk since 2017 and most recently served as Assistant General Manager of Marketing, joined the Vakıf Participation family in 2024 as Marketing Director and was appointed as Assistant General Manager of Marketing on December 18, 2024.
