İbrahim ŞENEL

İbrahim Şenel was born in Artova/Tokat in 1966. He graduated from the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Political Sciences of Ankara University in 1988. Mr. Şenel worked as an Assistant Expert at the Undersecretariat of the State Planning Organization between 1989-1991, and as an Assistant Expert and Expert at the Undersecretariat/Undersecretariats of Treasury and Foreign Trade between 1991-1997.

Between 1997 and 2000, he served as Commercial Counselor at the Republic of Turkey, Baku Embassy, Branch Manager at the General Directorate of Imports of the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade between 2000-2003, and Department Head and Deputy General Manager at the General Directorate of Exports between 2003-2007.

He served as Deputy Undersecretary at the Undersecretariat of Customs between 2007 and 2009, as General Manager of Exports between 2009 and 2011, and subsequently as Deputy Undersecretary of Foreign Trade.

He served as Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy between 2011 and 2014, and as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy between 2014 and 2018.

As of February 12, 2020, he was appointed as the Vice President of Strategy and Budget of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey. He was appointed as the Head of Strategy and Budget of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey on November 7, 2020. He was appointed to the same position on June 9, 2023.

Having been elected as the Member of the Board of Directors of Vakıf Katılım on August 4, 2023, Mr. Şenel has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board as of June 7, 2024.
